Unearthing

Purpose

Every business has a purpose.

This applies to any business or organisation. Private or public, every business exists for a reason.

Do you know your business’s purpose?

It’s time to unearth it.

Whoever started the business did so for a reason.

They could have started any type of business, but something drove them to that particular business. They had a deeper connection – and it’s most likely not about money.

There’s a strong chance the business purpose has a strong correlation with the founders personal purpose. If they are still involved, or this is your business, that’s the best place to start to unearth and clarify your business’s purpose.

If the founder is no longer involved, the purpose is most likely being driven by the current leaders, even if they’re not aware they are doing it.

If they don’t know they are doing it, danger is ahead as strategic direction is not clear.

In the case where the leadership does not have a strong clear purpose, middle management and emerging leaders can also drive change from within. Someone needs to!

Clarifying your business purpose benefits everyone, and will drive your important business numbers and give you the alignment magic your business needs.

Wherever your team or business is in your search to unearth your purpose, a discovery process with a broad cross section of people in the business is needed.

A strong purpose led business will have strong purpose led people.

There’s no better day than today to unearth your business purpose.

Have a great day!
